Uganda

Well, Uganda has been amazing. We have cool weather, warm showers, and good food. We spent the last few days doing work projects, such as painting and trying to minimize the sound of the generator, youth group programs, and meeting Dutch people.

The compound we are staying at is owned by a Dutch couple, and is a boarding school and orphanage. It holds the full spectrum of grades, both primary and secondary.

It rained today, which was awesome, but them it got hot. It's in the 50s and rainy in Holland, a big change.

For our day off, we're going sailing on the Nile, and we may see the water again when we land in Cairo. I wonder if we would beat it there?

We also met a group of widows that make jewelry out of paper. I bought quite a bit. Some of them are HIV positive, and widows are thrown out by their families anyways, because if their husband dies, they are seen as not caring for their husband, bring about his death.
