Well, this week has been eventful. Blake Mattocks was the speaker and spoke on the character of God. Yesterday, he talked about the monsters in the dark, the things we keep locked away. I couldn't think of anything, until Jamie listened to what I talked about. I fear for others. I never said anything about being scared for myself, but she noticed that whenever I talked about being worried I was talking about others.
He stress that we are World Changers. He also had a ton of one liners.
--Take a step of faith farther that you can see the answers.
--Rules and regulations without relationships read rebellion.
--Learned truth must becoming living truth.
--Don't be religious, be relational.
--Worst thing people of God can do is live in godlessness and do nothing.
--Salt and light are not what you do but how you are.
--Ask yourself honest questions then give yourself honest answers.
--Courage takes the willingness to rely on God.
--The promises of God belong to you, but the ways of God do not.
--For the believer, the battleground is the mind.
--The smallest act of obedience is better than the greatest intention.
I also heard the Voice of God this week. We were intercession after worship in Wednesday. We were praying for one of the teams currently on outreach, and I got a picture of a seed being planted in darkness. As the seed grew, light spread from it until the scene was just the tiny plant and a bright white light.
