Day Three

April 6, 2011

So, yesterday was exciting. We had an hour long worship session where we sang songs and prayed. Still a lot of into stuff, meet and greet kind of thing. Today, we had another worship session. We met with our outreach group, and found out exactly where we will be going and the general flight ideas.

First is our "Closed Country" via west coast and Japan or South Korea. Then, Philippines, the easy flight. Third is Kenya. Ruth made the comment that since there are so many people going to Kenya from the Philippines that we'll be going through China and Qatar probably, depending on flights available. We'll them, take a bus to Uganda, then back to Kenya after for the flight to Holland, via someplace. Finally, we'll fly to Malta. From Malta, we'll fly back to Holland, spend the night there possible, before catching the flight with a stop over somewhere.

Our first stop will be nine-ish days, teaching English and doing other service projects. In the Philippines, we will be working with the YWAM base in Cebu City for about two weeks. There's a dress code, I have to wear skirts-ick. In Kenya, again about two weeks, we will be working with the YWAM base, mainly with children, again skirts are required. In Uganda, we'll be doing practical work with an orphanage. There is a dress code, but I can wear pants that cover the knees. Holland will be eight-ish days with some schooling and evangelism. Malta will be two to two and a half weeks, working with refugees from North African refugees.

We should have a more concrete itinerary in a couple of weeks.
